in the High Sierra of Central California, due east of Yosemite
National Park.
From Los Angeles: Mammoth is 300 miles north
of Los Angeles via I-5 north to State Route 14 east to US
Highway 395 north to State Route 203. Travel time is 5 to
7 hours.
From San Francisco: 390 miles east of San
Francisco (winter route) via I-80 to US Highway 50 west to
US Highway 395 south to State Route 203. In the summer, the
Tioga Pass just east of Yosemite National Park is open, which
shortens travel time to 260 miles via I-580 east to State
Route 120 east.
From Las Vegas: 300 miles northwest of Las
Vegas via US Highway 95 north to State Route 266 west to State
Route 168 west to US Highway 395 north to State Route 203.
